We breed beautiful, healthy, well rounded Golden Retrievers with love and passion.
Our story started a few years ago when we inherited Sissy, a 10 year old Golden Retriever that belonged to my mom and step-dad. When mom passed, we inherited my step-dad along with their two dogs. He's doing well and we are all living together in our Northern California home.
I already loved Sissy - My mom named her Sissy because that was my nickname growing up and Mom spoiled her incessantly. I didn't really understand what it was like to love a Golden until after we all moved in together. My passion grew after a time, and my husband's did too - so when I approached him about starting our own breeding program, I was met with enthusiasm. Our home may be small, but what we have is lots of love, three acres, about half of it fenced and plenty of time on our hands. I have a lifetime of experience in the dog world - breeding, grooming, showing and my husband has lots of patience and plenty of love for me and the dogs, so here we are.
Sissy is past her prime and has retired, but we now have:
Arlie who is the most calm, gentle and beautiful young man that you could ever ask for. Arlie's pedigree goes back to Champion European bloodlines and it shows!
Lila, who is an English Cream with a wonderful confirmation and has that “forever a puppy” fun going on.
Miss Katie who is very gentle and actually a bit naughty but really oh so nice.
Miss Madeline who is a Lila daughter and has her mom's beautiful confirmation and a gentle spirit.
We feel it is a privilege to share our space and hearts with them all.
Our goal would be to love and breed dogs who are healthy and structurally sound with the breeds origins in mind. Our focus is breeding dogs that make great family pets or therapy companions. Golden Retriever health issues are a passion for us and we are constantly studying ideas that may help our bloodlines to thrive. Every dog we have is a member of our family first and lives in our home with us. Breeding for temperment is more important to us than confirmation - but we also feel strongly that carrying on the tradition of a beautiful Golden Retriever's appearance is our goal as well. With Golden Retrievers we can have it all!
